About Colorado PRIMA

The Colorado Chapter of PRIMA (Public Risk Management Association) was the first state chapter in the national PRIMA network. We strive to provide the best educational resources for our members and offer valuable networking opportunities with risk management professionals and other peer/industry groups.

For more than two decades, Colorado PRIMA has been dedicated to provide timely, practical education and training for public sector risk management professionals in the state. Our membership benefits deliver the must-have solutions professionals need to survive and thrive in today's complex and changing risk management environment.

Mission and Goals

Our mission is to:

  • Increase the proficiency of risk management, insurance, and benefits in government and other public entities through education and networking

  • Support the mission and goals of PRIMA as directed by its chapter members

  • Further the best interests of governments, governmental agencies, intergovernmental risk pools, and school and other special districts in their risk management activities

Our goals include:

  • Providing high-quality, relevant risk management information to our members through local bi-monthly educational meetings and conferences

  • Building valuable relationships through networking opportunities with risk management professionals and other peer/industry groups

Our chapter is very proud of its involvement in PRIMA. For more than 20 years, numerous chapter members have served on the national PRIMA board.
